Variety Article Writing Challenge
Bonnie Gean is running her Article Writing Challenge again this month. It’s just the kick I need to get started blogging again.
You know how it is…
Stop doing something for a little while and fall out of the habit. Then it gets harder, and harder to start again the longer it is left!
This month’s Article Challenge is slightly different to previous challenges Bonnie has facilitated. To spice things up and get our brains working, the challenge topic is “Variety”. The suggested topic and format for each day is:
Monday: Product Review
Tuesday: Top 10 List
Wednesday: Guest Blog Post
Thursday: Infographic
Friday: Three Things I Completed Today
Saturday: Step-by-Step Tutorial
Sunday: Video Blog
I know I’ll be mixing and matching as and when, some of those suggestions don’t quite fit here on My Local Business Online.
Like previous article challenges, an article (for the challenge) is written content greater than 400 words. It can be for your blog, a guest post, article submissions, short reports, books, downloads, sales letters, emails – anything written. I’ll be using the challenge to catch up with my blog and reports/ebooks.
The Article Challenge starts today. Since it is Sunday, I’ve done a very quick video blog. The transcript is below for those who prefer to read.

Hi, it’s Jan Kearney from My Local Business Online. This is a quick video blog to say that I’m taking part in Bonnie Gean’s Article Writing Challenge this month, June. This month’s challenge is slightly different because it’s a variety challenge. It means when we do our writing, it’s not just going to be writing. It will include a mix and match, a variety of content formats. Sunday is today, the start of the challenge and the suggestion for Sunday is a video blog.
Since I haven’t video blogged for a long time, in fact I haven’t blogged for over a month, I thought I’d use Bonnie’s Article Writing Challenge to give me the kick up the backside I need to get my blog up and running, well at least posting on it again!

I’m pretty excited about this challenge. The only thing I’m really worried about is the guest blogging. I’m working on connecting with people for that one now.
This sounds like a nice challenge to participate. It might give the push that is needed sometimes to get things going.
However, as I have some offline business to do this month I unfortuntately can’t participate, but I will join the FB group and look out for the next challenge to start.
